Sonic EXPO is built by fans, for fans. These policies exist so everyone — attendees, guests, staff, vendors, and venue crew — has a safe, welcoming weekend. Everything here applies to every inch of the convention, including hotel and venue common areas.
1. Code of Conduct
Sonic EXPO is built by fans, for fans. These rules exist for one reason: so everyone — attendees, guests, staff, vendors, and venue crew — has a safe, awesome weekend.
The Core Rules of Sonic EXPO
- Be excellent to each other. Respect everyone's boundaries, identities, and personal space.
- Cosplay is not consent. Ask before you touch, photograph, or follow anyone.
- Listen to staff. If someone with a Sonic EXPO badge asks you to do something, do it.
- Keep it family-friendly. Kids are here. Dress, speak, and act accordingly.
- No real weapons, ever. Props follow the prop policy — everything else stays home.
- See something, say something. Report problems to staff first, not social media.
That's the short version. The details are below — and everything on this page applies to every inch of the convention, including hotel and venue common areas.
